Sleep Technologists analyze, monitor, and record data on patients who are sleeping and in states of wakefulness. Sleep Techs may be asked to maintain positive airway pressure titration on spontaneously breathing patients, supplement low flow oxygen therapy during polysomnogram, provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation and pulse oximetry. Sleep Techs are often required to monitor patient behavior and general physical response during polysomnographic evaluation and coordinate patient care and education during and after treatment. Accurate and detailed record keeping is essential in the Sleep Tech job.
Radiology Technologists are integral to a wide range of healthcare specialties, involved in the diagnosis, monitoring and treatment of medical conditions. Radiology Techs work to improve the quality of healthcare through earlier diagnosis, less invasive treatment options and reductions in hospital stays. Medical technology may broadly include medical devices, information technology, biotech, and healthcare services. Technologists may include those who work with Ultrasound, MRI, Sterile Processing, Cat Scan, X-Ray, Mammography, Interventional Radiology, Cardiac Cath Lab and a variety of other technologies.
