MRI Technologist Job Descriptions

MRI Techs perform medical testing by taking 3D images of the patient's body using computerized MRI scanners. They explain the testing process to the patients, prepare them for the examination, adjust the software to be used for the imaging, record the images and hand over the results to the physicians who are treating the patient. They also help position patients who are disabled, and move and maintain the MRI instruments to e used during the image processing. Traveling MRI Techs work in the hospitals and medical diagnostic centers. MRI Techs must pay attention to minute details and be skilled in verbal and written communication.
