The technicians are trained in operating instruments like electroencephalographs, in order to measure the electrical activity of the brain waves of the patient. The technicians use the devices to conduct EEG tests which can help in determining any brain abnormality or damage. The EEG Tech will gather the patient's medical history, explain the testing procedures to the patient, and also prepare the patient for the test. They send forward the report of the test to the patient's physician.EEG Technicians mainly work in hospitals but are sometimes required to work in the diagnostic centers.
