Cath Lab Technologists work in the field of cardiovascular technology. The CL Techs assist physicians during cardiovascular procedures like angioplasty, cardiac catheterization, and electrophysiology. In some cases the Cath Lab Tech will assist during an open heart surgery, with insertion of pacemakers or stents.
