American Traveler seeks a Certified Surgical Technologist First Assist for a hospital CVOR position requiring open heart and vascular surgical first assist experience and vein harvesting skills.

Details

• Works in a 23 suite operating room with 4 dedicated CV OR suites within a Community Services unit
• Performs cardiac procedures including CABG, AVR, MVR, pericardial window, aortic dissections, and congenital pediatric cases
• Performs vascular procedures including fem-pop, AAA, and AV fistula
• Schedule consists of 4x10 hour shifts rotating days and weekends with call required
• Call requirements vary based on vein harvesting skills
• Floats to Main OR as needed
• Scrubs provided on unit in Ceil Blue color

Requirements

• 2 to 3 years of cardiovascular First Assist experience in on-pump open heart and vascular cases required
• Endoscopic vein harvesting skills required
• CVOR, Pediatric CVOR, and Cardiac experience required
• CST FA or RN FA certification required
• License required if applicable
• Resume required for consideration
• US SSN and date of birth required for consideration
• One professional reference required

Additional Information

• Acts as First Assist in cardiac and vascular surgical cases including on-pump open heart procedures
• Pediatric cardiac surgery experience preferred
• Candidates must demonstrate confidence in surgical skills and knowledge
• Must not have employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
• Does not accept local candidates and requires candidates to live outside a 50 mile radius of the facility
