American Traveler seeks a Certified Surgical Technologist proficient across multiple specialties for an operating room position at a busy hospital.

Details

• Surgery unit within a hospital operating room setting
• CST proficient in all specialties including total joint/trauma, neuro spine, vascular, and robotics
• 8-hour shifts from 10:30 AM to 7:00 PM, 40 hours per week

Requirements

• High school education or GED required
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in the specialty, with 3 years preferred for OR
• Recent experience within the last 3 months in the submitted specialty required
• Surgery Technician certification preferred; license required if applicable
• BLS certification from an approved vendor required
• CNA certification preferred
• Associate's or technical degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience, preferred
• Scrub technician and/or operating room training or experience preferred
• Cerner and/or Epic experience must be documented if applicable

Additional Information

• Prepare and maintain sterile field, retracting and passing instruments, supplies, and medications during surgical cases
• Check and assemble required supplies and equipment prior to each case
• Set up operative instrumentation for expedient use and maintain neat, orderly sterile fields with careful attention to aseptic technique
• Complete instrument, sponge, needle, and blade counts with the RN according to established standards
• Clean equipment and facilities and perform housekeeping duties as needed
• Transport patients according to unit schedules and priorities
• Perform clerical duties and other job-related tasks as assigned
