American Traveler is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist for a Level 1 Trauma acute care hospital OR position requiring robotics and trauma experience.

Details

• Level 1 Trauma acute care hospital operating room with 17 surgical suites averaging 37 cases per day
• Common cases include Ortho Trauma/Joints, Robotics, Neuro/Spine, Plastics, ENT, and Urology
• 12-hour shifts, mostly self-scheduled with generally no block scheduling, including 7a-7p, 9a-9p, and 10-hour 7a-5p options
• Weeknight call required approximately 3-4 shifts per 6 weeks with a 2-hour call response time
• Holiday call required; weekend call only as needed
• No routine floating within facility, though extreme need may require floating within the designated zone
• EPIC EMR used
• 24/7 Charge Nurse/House Supervisor support available

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience required
• BLS certification (AHA)
• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential via NBSTSA
• CO DORA certification required
• License required if applicable
• Robotics and trauma experience required
• Driver's license copy required for consideration
• Candidates must reside at least 60 miles from the facility

Additional Information

• 13-week assignment with day shifts scheduled Friday-Sunday
• Blue surgical scrubs provided
• 2 days of unit/department specific orientation, with all clinicians expected to be in-state during orientation week even if initial modules are remote
• Candidates must not have been directly employed by any facility associated with this health system within the past year, though PRN employment through outside firms will be considered
• Two professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months worked and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years worked, including employment dates and rehire eligibility
