American Traveler seeks a Certified Surgical Technologist for a general surgery Operating Room position requiring high proficiency in ortho, total joints, and neuro procedures.

• Operating Room unit within a 169-bed regional referral center
• Surgery department covers a broad range of procedures including endocrine, breast, oncologic, gastrointestinal, colorectal, and hepatobiliary surgeries
• Day shift, 10-hour shifts, Monday-Friday
• On-call requirements apply
• Holiday coverage required if needed
• Compact license accepted

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years current CST experience required
• NBSTSA certification required
• High proficiency in ortho, total joints, and neuro procedures required
• Scrubbing experience required in General, Ortho, Neuro, and Endo procedures
• BLS certification (AHA) required
• New Hampshire Medical Technician Registration required (can pend upon offer)
• License required if applicable
• Must have own vehicle for this assignment

Additional Information

• Function primarily in a scrubbing capacity as part of the surgical team, with occasional circulating duties
• Maintain aseptic technique and a controlled environment within the OR suite
• Prepare the OR suite and use and maintain specialized surgical equipment and supplies
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required
• Ability to adapt quickly and effectively to stressful situations
• Must be willing to take call as part of the assignment
• Holiday coverage required for two blocks: Thanksgiving through the following weekend, Christmas Eve through the following weekend, and New Year's Eve through the following weekend
• RTO requests limited to a maximum of 5 days and must be submitted prior to consideration
• Local candidates within 50 miles of the facility will not be considered
• First-time travelers will be considered
