American Traveler is hiring a Registered Polysomnographic Technologist for a pediatric acute care sleep lab, requiring 2+ years of sleep lab experience and RPSGT or RRT certification.

Details

• Acute care pediatric sleep lab (Neuro Sleep Lab) within a children's hospital
• 12-hour night shifts, generally 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• 36 hours per week with weekend and holiday coverage as scheduled
• Caseload of approximately 2 sleep studies per shift per technologist
• Uses Epic EMR
• Uses Respironics and ResMed equipment along with Natus sleep software
• First to float when required

Requirements

• BLS certification (AHA) required
• RPSGT certification via BRPT required, or RRT certification via NBRC
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• Alternative qualification paths include RPSGT with 18 months sleep lab experience, RST through ABSM with 18 months sleep lab experience, or state-licensed Respiratory Therapist with 1 year of experience plus NBRC certification (CPFT, RPFT, CRT, RRT, or SDS)
• License required if applicable
• Must be comfortable performing sleep studies on medically complex pediatric patients

Additional Information

• Performs sleep studies in accordance with policy and procedure guidelines in the Sleep Evaluation Center, at bedside, and in critical care areas of the hospital
• Department-specific orientation provided
• Possible time off for Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays
• Hospitalist/intensivist coverage available on-site
• Candidates must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be considered
• Returning travelers who previously worked at any WVU Medicine location must have taken a 2-year break before reapplying
• Travelers are limited to a cumulative one-year work period within WVU Medicine facilities before requiring a 2-year break
