American Traveler seeks a CVOR Surgical Technician with cardiovascular experience for a hospital operating room position in Wenatchee, WA.

Details

• Hospital-based CVOR unit
• 4x10-hour AM/D/E shifts totaling 40 hours per week
• 30 minute meal break included in shift
• No on-call requirements
• May be required to float as a sitter a few times during the assignment

Requirements

• CVOR experience required
• BLS certification
• Graduate of an accredited school of Surgical Technology
• National Certification by the Association of Surgical Technologists
• Current Washington State Surgical Technologist license required if applicable

Additional Information

• Functions as a vital member of the OR team, assuming responsibility for the scrub position during surgical interventions
• Maintains a safe environment by implementing technical and aseptic practices according to AORN standards and facility policies
• Proficient in surgical procedures across a variety of services
• Demonstrates knowledge of surgical equipment and instrumentation
• Sets up and maintains sterile field alongside team members
• Prepares according to surgeon preference cards and procedure requirements
• Accurately performs sponge, needle, and instrument counts at appropriate times
• Properly identifies and saves specimens per department policy
• Reports and recognizes faulty equipment or unsafe conditions
• Demonstrates ability to handle emergency situations
