American Traveler seeks a Certified Surgical Technologist for a hospital OR position requiring 2-3 years of scrub experience in a high-volume surgical setting.

Details

• Level IV Trauma Center with 14 ORs performing 20-23 cases per day
• Case mix includes ortho (35% of cases), GYN, and general surgery, plus bariatrics, plastics, and urology procedures
• Requires DaVinci XI robotics experience; Stryker Mako Robot used for total joint cases
• Day shift schedule: Monday-Friday 0630-1500, either four 10-hour or five 8-hour shifts
• On-call required, including weekend rotation (Saturday or Sunday 0630-0630) and weeknight/holiday call split evenly among techs
• EPIC EMR required
• Uses Alaris IV pumps, Pyxis medication dispensing, and iStat (Hemochron) equipment

Requirements

• BLS certification required; CST preferred
• Graduate of an accredited surgical technology program required
• Minimum 2-3 years of OR experience required; first-time travelers with 3+ years of OR experience will be considered
• Required scrub experience in GYN, ortho, and general surgery cases
• EPIC EMR experience required
• License required if applicable
• Minimum 1 professional reference dated within the last year from a Supervisor, Manager, Director, or Charge RN
• Candidate DOB and last 4 of SSN required for consideration

• Support surgical procedures through scrubbing responsibilities across ortho, GYN, general, bariatric, plastics, and urology cases
• Work alongside a team including Charge RN, Leads, OR Educator, surgeons, and anesthesia team
• 3-5 days of orientation including unit orientation with a preceptor
