American Traveler is hiring a Polysomnographer / Sleep Technologist for a night-shift position in a short-term acute care hospital, requiring an active Oregon Polysomnography License in hand.

Details

• Short-term acute care hospital setting within the Polysomnography/Sleep Tech department
• Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM
• Block schedule required with weekend coverage; Friday night shift extends into Saturday morning
• Patient ratio of 2:1
• No floating between units and no on-call requirements
• Uses Epic charting system

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of experience required
• BLS and RPSGT certification required
• Oregon Polysomnography License required and must be in hand at submission (license required if applicable)
• Epic charting experience required
• Skilled in monitoring including End-Tidal CO2, ECG, EEG, O2 Saturation, and Periodic Limb Movement
• Experience with PSG, RIP, and various study types including MSLT, Baseline Sleep Polysomnography, and Home Sleep Testing
• Proficient in staging, scoring, and identifying respiratory events, sleep stages, and arousals
• Titration experience with ASV, BiPAP, CPAP, VPAP, and oxygen administration
• Mask fitting experience including full face, nasal mask, and nasal pillow
• Experience with ResMed equipment
• Knowledge of infection control and patient education practices

Additional Information

• Must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day
• All RTO and scheduling requests must be submitted upfront at time of submission; post-offer requests may not be accommodated
• Two supervisory references required, covering at least 1 year of employment within the last 3 years
• Candidates must disclose any prior work history at a Providence facility, including dates and location, as part of the submission process
• Local candidates accepted at a lower bill rate within a 50-mile radius of the facility
• Former Providence employees may return as travelers after a 3-month waiting period, provided they reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility
• Travelers may be required to float between sister facilities within the region; refusal to float may result in termination of assignment
• First-time travelers are not considered for this position
