Description

American Traveler is hiring a Polysomnographer / Sleep Technologist with RPSGT certification and at least 1 year of experience for a night shift assignment.

Details

• Hospital and independent lab setting
• 4x10 night shifts, Monday through Thursday, 8:00 PM to 6:30 AM
• Patient ratio of 2 patients to 1 technologist with 2 assistants
• Utilizes Natus Sleep Works equipment
• No weekend, on-call, holiday, or floating requirements
• Comfortable working with pediatric patients ages 2 and up
• Performs titration studies including ASV, BiPAP, CPAP, VPAP, and oxygen administration
• Conducts Adult MSLT, baseline PSG, and home sleep testing
• Trainer on-site during Inspire studies unless technologist is an Inspire super user

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year experience required; 3+ years preferred
• RPSGT license required (license required if applicable)
• BLS certification required
• Charting system experience required
• Experience with mask fitting including full face, nasal mask, and nasal pillow
• Experience with monitoring cardiac abnormalities, ECG, EEG, end-tidal CO2, O2 saturation, PLM, and RIP
• Experience with staging and scoring including arousal, hypopnea, Cheyne-Stokes, and respiratory events
• Strong infection control and patient education skills
• US citizenship required

• Scrubs of any color permitted
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this role
• Candidates must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be considered for the travel rate
