American Traveler seeks a Certified Surgical Technologist with Level I Trauma experience for a hospital OR position requiring extensive neuro and trauma skills.

• Level I Trauma hospital setting including General OR and Ambulatory OR
• Day shift schedule, 4x10 hours, 7:00 AM-5:30 PM
• Neuro call requirement of 90-120 hours every 6 weeks
• Cerner charting preferred
• Uses Da Vinci Xi Surgical System, case carts, and crash carts
• Floating required within the hospital or to nearby affiliate hospitals

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Surgical Technologist required
• At least 1 year of Level I Trauma experience required
• BLS and NBSTSA certification required
• Must score 3s and 4s in Neuro and Trauma skill sets
• Experience with vascular procedures including AAA repair, atherectomy, carotid endarterectomy, and femoral popliteal bypass graft
• Experience with neuro procedures including craniotomy, VP shunt insertion, spinal fusions, laminectomy/discectomy, and kyphoplasty
• Experience with trauma cases including amputations, gunshot/stab wounds, and MVA with multiple injuries
• Experience with general, GYN, and laparoscopic cases
• Basic ENT and plastics experience required, with flap and scope experience preferred
• Oral Max, D&C, and laparoscopic-assisted gynecological procedure skills required
• Instrument processing and reprocessing of trauma instruments/trays experience required
• License required if applicable
• 2 supervisor references required
• SSN and DOB required for consideration

Additional Information

• Support a wide range of surgical procedures across neuro, trauma, vascular, urology, general, GYN, and laparoscopic specialties
• Perform instrument processing and reprocessing of trauma instruments and trays
• Work within a Level I Trauma center environment
• First-time travelers are accepted for this role
• Local candidates residing in Indiana are considered local and accepted at a lower pay package
• Candidates must work 2 out of 3 major holidays
• Up to 5 days of non-holiday RTO can be auto-approved; additional time off requires facility approval
• Former perm or PRN employees of the facility must wait 12 months before applying as a traveler
• Current or past travelers with 12 months of accrued travel employment must take a designated consecutive break to reset eligibility
