American Traveler seeks a Surgical Tech for a Cardiovascular Operating Room position requiring at least 2 years of experience and BLS certification.

Details

• Acute care hospital setting with a Level 3 trauma designation
• CVOR unit with 7 main OR suites handling 22-45 cases per day across three specialties
• Inpatient and outpatient case mix with 35-40% add-on cases
• Common case types include general surgery, bowel resection, robotic surgery, GYN, urology, TURP, cystoscopy, lithotripsy, and some bariatrics and plastics
• No neuro or ortho cases in this main OR
• Uses EPIC EMR
• Day shift with options for 4x10s (0630-1700) or 5x8s (0715-1500)
• Weekday and weekend coverage required with possible holiday call
• On-call requirement of 5-6 call days with call hours from 9PM to 0630
• Weekend call includes 12-hour day and night shifts
• Call response time is 30 minutes
• Potential to float from CVOR to Main OR

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience required
• BLS certification required
• Washington state license required for CVOR Tech position (license required if applicable)
• National certification not required
• EPIC EMR experience preferred
• Driver's license copy required for consideration
• Two professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years, including employment dates and rehire eligibility

• Charge nurse covers both Main and CVOR on every shift, with a resource nurse supporting CVOR
• Weekend coverage handled through call rotation
• Holiday coverage handled through rotation

• Surgeon on-call coverage available after hours
• One week of floor-specific orientation provided
