American Traveler seeks a CVOR Certified Surgical Technologist with a minimum of 3 years of recent, high-volume CVOR experience for a hospital operating room position.

Details

• Work in a CVOR service line comprising 4-6 ORs, including an endovascular suite, depending on daily volume
• Support cardiac, thoracic, and vascular surgical procedures including coronary artery bypass, valve repair/replacement, aortic dissection, heart transplantation, VAD placement, impella or intra-aortic balloon pump placement, and adult ECMO
• Participate in TAVR procedures performed in the endovascular OR
• Assist with thoracic cases including laparoscopic, robot-assisted, and open procedures
• Support vascular procedures ranging from ESRD graft/fistula placement or revision to endovascular procedures
• Unit has capacity for up to four concurrent procedures requiring cardiopulmonary bypass
• Schedule includes 4 shifts weekly, 10:30am-9:00pm, typically Monday through Thursday based on department need
• Participate in call coverage for the service line after normal business hours and on weekends

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of recent, full-time experience as a CVOR CST in a high-volume hospital setting required
• Demonstrated proficiency in all aspects of cardiac, thoracic, and vascular procedures required
• BLS certification from the AHA required
• License required if applicable
• Must be able to function independently in a fast-paced surgical environment without extensive onboarding
• Verifiable references from at least two prior travel assignments confirming no training was needed are required

Additional Information

• Candidates must be able to hit the ground running with minimal orientation
• Candidates should be prepared to discuss extension with their manager approximately 45 days before assignment end date
• Accepts local candidates, though a radius rule may apply that could affect pay rate
