American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist for a Cardiac Interventional Radiology role requiring 1+ years of experience including Neuro/stroke intervention and prior travel assignment experience.

Details

• Interventional Radiology unit performing a full range of IR procedures including stents, angioplasty, angiograms, nephrostograms, kyphoplasty, peripherals, biopsies, drainages, upper/lower extremity, abdominal/pelvic, genitourinary, vascular, venous access, and neurological studies
• Adult and geriatric patient population with some adolescents
• Daily caseload of 13-17 cases
• Uses Siemens and Phillips x-ray equipment, PACS system, contrast administration
• First shift with staggered start time between 0700-0830, 4x10 hour shifts Monday-Friday with a varying day off each week
• Rotates Primary and Back-up call with team to provide round-the-clock coverage
• Primary call approximately one day every 4 weeks plus every 5th-6th weekend
• Back-up call approximately 7 days including a weekend every 9 weeks
• Weekend and evening/night on-call rotation required
• No floating required

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of IR experience required, including Neuro and stroke intervention experience
• Prior travel assignment experience required; first-time travelers not accepted
• Inpatient hospital experience required
• Experience with Siemens and Phillips x-ray equipment required
• Contrast administration experience required
• BLS and ARRT (R) certification required
• ARRT Advanced certification preferred
• Epic and McKesson charting experience preferred
• Teaching hospital, community hospital, and Level I trauma experience preferred
• Outpatient, OR, and ER experience preferred
• License required if applicable

Additional Information

• Scrub role maintaining sterile field during procedures
• Perform vascular, neurological, genitourinary, and abdominal/pelvic IR studies and interventions
• Scrubs provided
• One week of hospital orientation required with daily class attendance
• Pre-start online modules required (8-10 hours for acute care roles), completed pre-start and annually
• Local candidates within 50 miles accepted at a lower rate
• Former Novant Health or New Hanover PERM/PRN/EP employees must wait 12 months before reapplying and disclose employment history for facility approval
• Up to 7 days of RTO auto-approved excluding holidays; no RTO during first week of assignment
• Must work 2 of 3 major holidays
• Travel pairs allowed if on different units and disclosed
