American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist with 2-3 years of hospital CT experience for a weekend day-shift contract role.

Details

• Hospital-based CT department with 5 scanners
• Patient population includes inpatient, outpatient, and ER cases, with occasional pediatric patients (teenagers) requiring no specific pediatric experience
• Studies include general anatomy, calcium scoring, coronary studies, stroke alert, CTA perfusion, chest, abdomen, pelvis, and head imaging
• Performs procedural work including biopsies and drains
• Patient ratio of 1:1
• 12-hour day shifts on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 8:00 AM to 8:30 PM (36 hours/week)
• No floating required
• No on-call requirements
• Uses GE equipment, with GE Revolution and Evo experience preferred
• EPIC EMR used for charting

Requirements

• Minimum 2-3 years of CT experience in a hospital setting
• BLS and ARRT-CT certification required
• License required if applicable
• Experience with the described patient types and procedures required
• EPIC EMR experience required
• Minimum 1 professional reference dated within the last year from a Supervisor, Manager, Director, or Charge RN
• Candidate's middle name/initial, DOB, and last 4 of SSN required for consideration

Additional Information

• Supported on the unit by other CT techs, Radiology RNs, RRT, Code Blue team, and centralized transport staff
• Orientation consists of 3 shifts to learn unit flow
• Holiday coverage expected for 1 summer and 1 winter holiday
• Staff must adhere to a fatigue policy limiting work to no more than 60 hours per week or 5 consecutive 12-hour shifts
• Scrubs may be any color except camo or denim
