American Traveler seeks a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) for a hospital OR position requiring NBSTSA certification and Epic EMR experience.

Details

• Day shift 3x12 hours from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• Schedule may also include 5-8 hour shifts from 0700-1530
• Weekends, holidays, call, and floating as needed by the unit
• Supports Ambulatory, General, and Vascular OR settings
• Case types include vascular, ENT, general surgery, gynecology, neuro surgery, ophthalmology, orthopedic, robotics, thoracic, and urology procedures
• Epic EMR experience required

Requirements

• NBSTSA certification as CST or CSFA required (NCCT not accepted)
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• BLS certification required (AHA or ARC only)
• Epic EMR experience required
• License required if applicable

Additional Information

• Perform surgical technologist duties across a wide range of specialties including vascular, ENT, general surgery, gynecology, neuro, ophthalmology, orthopedics, robotics, thoracic, and urology procedures
• Apply aseptic technique, sterilization/disinfection, and universal protocol (time out) procedures
• Maintain awareness of laser safety, radiation safety, sharps safety, specimen handling, and fire safety protocols
• May care for COVID-19 patients
• Tobacco and fragrance free facility
• Expected to work 2 of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's), or 1 of 2 if contract spans fewer holidays
• Maximum RTO of 7 days per contract
• First-time travelers accepted
• Travel pairs accepted, though matched schedules cannot be guaranteed
• Local candidates accepted within a 50-mile radius
