American Traveler is hiring a Polysomnographic Technologist with 2+ years of specialty experience and current BRPT or RPSGT certification for a 13-week night shift assignment.

Details

• Sleep Disorder Lab setting
• Adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient population
• 12-hour night shifts, 3 shifts per week, schedule 7p-730a varying Thursday-Saturday nights
• 36 guaranteed hours per week

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in the specialty, including at least 1 year of sleep study activity
• Current BLS certification required
• Current and unrestricted certification or registration as a Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) or through the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists (BRPT)
• License required if applicable
• Demonstrated expertise in sleep disorders, sleep activity, abnormalities, movement arousals, and respirations
• Strong written and oral communication skills

Additional Information

• Prepares patients and equipment for sleep disorder testing and monitors polysomnograms, documenting per policy
• Must work 2 of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's Day) and 1 minor holiday (day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, or New Year's Eve)
• Does not accept local candidates within 50 miles of the facility
• Returning perm staff must complete a 2-year break before returning as a non-local traveler
• RTO must be requested upfront and cannot be requested after an offer is made
