American Traveler is hiring an EKG Technologist / Monitor Tech to support a remote patient monitoring department reviewing AI-enabled biometric alerts, requiring BLS and Epic experience.

Details

• Supports a new acute care remote patient monitoring department reviewing AI-enabled biometric alerts and escalating signs of patient deterioration to bedside teams
• Day shift, 3x12 hours from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• Every other weekend required
• Will accept 36 or 48 hour schedules
• May float among five designated hospital locations based on staffing needs
• Uses Epic EMR

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience
• BLS certification required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Must pass a Dysrhythmia test within 72 hours of signing, with only 2 attempts allowed on a PC
• Proficiency in rhythm interpretation including heart blocks, atrial fibrillation, PVCs, ventricular tachycardia, and other arrhythmias
• Experience with cardiac monitoring systems such as GE, Philips, and Spacelabs
• Skilled in lead placement (3-lead and 5-lead), lead troubleshooting, and alarm management
• Ability to communicate rhythm variances to nursing and physician staff
• License required if applicable

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include monitoring cardiac rhythms, maintaining rhythm strips in patient charts, and entering/verifying orders in the computer system
• Must complete pre-employment labs within 48 hours of signing
• Must be clean shaven for fit testing prior to working on the unit
• Orientation modules are specialty-specific and completed during orientation
• COVID-19 and Flu vaccinations required with no exemptions
• RTO must be submitted at time of consideration; requests after submission will not be accepted
• No RTO permitted during the first week of the assignment
• Block scheduling is not permitted
• Candidates living within 50 miles of their primary facility are subject to the local pay rate
