American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist for a Vascular Interventional Radiology unit, requiring 12 months of vascular procedure experience and active ARRT (R) certification.

Details

• Invasive Vascular Services unit performing vascular procedures
• Approximately 25 cases per day
• Days shift, 4x10 hour shifts totaling 40 hours per week
• Call requirements of 1-2 nights per week and every third weekend from 7p Friday through 7a Monday
• Required to float across campuses as needed
• Call team covers two facilities with most emergencies handled at the Level I trauma facility
• Uses Epic EMR

Requirements

• Active ARRT (R) certification required
• ARRT (CI or VI) highly preferred
• Iowa Radiology license highly preferred; licensing candidates will be considered; license required if applicable
• BLS certification preferred
• Minimum of 12 months vascular procedure experience in a hospital or medical center setting required
• Scrub, circulate, and monitor experience required
• Peripheral vascular experience required
• Current or prior experience supporting Operating Room procedures required
• Cardiac Cath Lab/CCL experience in a hospital or medical center setting preferred
• Level I trauma experience preferred
• Driver's license required for consideration
• Professional reference from a supervisor, charge nurse, manager, director, CNO, or COO within the past 24 months preferred

• Responsibilities include scrubbing, circulating, and monitoring during vascular procedures
• First-time travelers welcomed
• Required to work 1-2 of 3 upcoming Summer holidays (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day) unless the unit is closed
• Compact license not accepted for this position
• Candidates who were employed by the facility within the past 12 months may not be eligible for submission
• Candidates must live at least 50 miles from the facility
