American Traveler is hiring a Vascular Technologist / Sonographer with current RDCS or RCS credentialing to perform advanced cardiac ultrasound studies in a hospital echocardiography department.

Details

• Echocardiography department setting
• 4x10 hour day/evening shifts, 0700-1730, 40 hrs/week
• Call coverage required

Requirements

• Current RDCS credential from ARDMS or RCS credential from CCI
• BLS certification
• License required if applicable

Additional Information

• Independently perform high-quality, complex diagnostic cardiac ultrasound exams per Echo Lab protocols and ASE standards
• Adjust imaging parameters in real-time to acquire accurate cardiac anatomy, pathophysiological, and blood flow data
• Utilize echo contrast/ultrasound enhancing agents, agitated saline bubble studies, 3-D quantification, and Myocardial Strain Imaging
• Perform echocardiographic studies in the Cath Lab to guide pericardiocentesis and evaluate TAVR valve placement
• Provide Treadmill and Dobutamine Stress Echo imaging as part of the cardiac stress testing team
• Assist physicians with 2-D and 3-D Transesophageal Echocardiograms (TEE) and other special procedures
• Perform measurements and calculations on acquired images per lab protocols
• Summarize and document patient history, exam measurements, and data for cardiologist review
• Recognize and alert attending cardiologist of critical findings requiring immediate attention
