Description

American Traveler is seeking a CVOR Certified Surgical Technologist with strong cardiac surgery skills for a hospital open heart surgery unit.

Details

• Cardiovascular OR unit performing open heart surgery within a 4-OR department
• Days shift 4x10s, 6:30 AM-5:00 PM, with on-call as needed
• May float to main OR as needed
• Block scheduling accommodated when possible
• Cerner EMR experience preferred

Requirements

• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential from NBSTA required
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of experience required with strong cardiac surgery skills
• Thoracic da Vinci experience preferred
• License required if applicable

Additional Information

• Assist surgeons by preparing the surgical field, passing instruments and supplies, and maintaining a sterile environment during cardiovascular procedures
• Support smooth patient flow by assisting with OR room turnover between cases
• Work as part of a cardiovascular surgical team to ensure efficient case flow
• Maximum RTO of 1 week during the assignment
• Candidates must live more than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates not accepted
