American Traveler seeks a Certified Surgical Technologist with Labor & Delivery experience for a hospital position specializing in cesarean section procedures.

Details

• Hospital Labor & Delivery unit where cesarean sections (C/S) are a primary procedure
• Night shift schedule with 3 x 12-hour shifts per week
• 13-week assignment

Requirements

• NBSTSA Certification as a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) required
• Minimum 2 years of scrubbing experience in Labor & Delivery required
• Minimum 2 years of prior work experience in a United States hospital in the specialty area required
• BLS certification (AHA) required
• High School diploma or equivalency required
• Completion of an accredited surgical technology program or certification/degree from an accredited nursing program required
• License required if applicable
• Active license required, no pending licenses accepted
• Strong communication skills
• Knowledge of surgical procedures and ability to prepare supplies, equipment, and instrumentation for surgical cases

Additional Information

• Anticipates needs in the surgical field when passing instruments and assists the surgical team throughout all procedures
• Responsible for case clean up, patient positioning, moving patients, and room turnovers
• Two manager or supervisor references preferred, verifying most recent experience within the past 12 months, with at least one from the most recent employer
• Candidates must live within 50 miles of the facility
