American Traveler is hiring an Ultrasound Technologist/Sonographer with 2+ years of recent experience and ARDMS certification to perform general diagnostic sonography procedures.

Details

• General Ultrasound Technologist role in a hospital-based Radiology/Cardiology department
• Day shift schedule, Wednesday-Sunday 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM (5x8 hours)
• Performs routine and specialized sonography procedures of moderate complexity for diagnosis, treatment, and monitoring
• May orient other staff and perform specific specialized procedures
• Uses GE ultrasound equipment
• Utilizes RIS, LIS, EHR, Epic, and PACS systems

Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program or ARDMS credential evidencing completion of such program
• ARDMS certification required upon hire
• BLS certification required upon hire
• Must possess at least two of the following certifications: Abdomen (AB), Breast (BR), Fetal Echocardiography (FE), OB/GYN, Pediatric Sonography (PS), or RVT
• Breast (BR) certification preferred
• 2 years of recent relevant sonography experience required
• Intermediate knowledge of diagnostic sonography principles, procedures, views, and equipment
• Experience responding to traumas and hospital emergencies preferred
• Proficient understanding of human anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for diverse audiences
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and healthcare information systems
• License required if applicable

• Radius rule of 50 miles applies
• Returning staff/travelers must have a separation period before reapplying
• Maximum RTO of 7 days per contract, with only 1 holiday request permitted per contract
• Must complete required lab work within 3-5 days of contract signing
• 7-year work history verification required
