Description

American Traveler seeks a CVOR Scrub Tech with 2-3 years of CVOR experience for a Level II Trauma Center's dedicated cardiovascular surgery rooms.

Details

• Level II Trauma Center, Level III NICU, and Primary Stroke Center with 492 total beds
• Surgery unit with 15 total OR rooms including 2 dedicated CV rooms
• Patient population includes open heart, CABG, TAVR, AVR, MVR, sternotomy, thoracotomy/thoracoscopy, VATS, and ECMO cases
• 1:1 patient ratio
• Uses Cerner EMR, Plum 360 IV pumps, Omnicell medication dispensing, and Spacelabs monitors
• 10-hour day shifts, Tuesday through Friday starting at 6:00AM, plus call
• No floating required
• On-call rotation of 10-12 days per month including weekend rotation

Requirements

• 2-3 years of CVOR experience required
• Experience with open heart, CABG, TAVR, AVR, MVR, sternotomy, thoracotomy/thoracoscopy, VATS, and ECMO cases required
• BLS certification preferred, not required
• License required if applicable

Additional Information

• First-time travelers considered with at least 2-3 years of relevant experience
• Unit support includes ORA, desk assistant, some FAs, charge nurse, and service line team leaders
• 2-week orientation on day shift, with buddy call expected during orientation
• Expected to work one holiday per contract
• Time off requests go through the manager
• Green scrubs provided
• Parking available in a parking deck
• Candidates must live outside a 60-mile radius of the facility
• Former staff must wait 6 months before being considered as a traveler
