American Traveler is hiring a Cardiac Sonographer for a Level 1 trauma acute care facility, requiring RDCS/RCS certification and experience with advanced cardiac pathology including contrast, bubble studies, and post-TAVR/Mitraclip assessments.

Details

• Acute care Echocardiography department within a Level 1 trauma facility
• 8-hour day shifts, Monday through Friday, with variable start times between 6:00 AM and 8:30 AM
• No weekend, holiday, or call/standby requirements
• Uses EPIC EMR
• Performs contrast studies, bubble studies, strain imaging, 3D imaging, and stress tests
• Evaluates complex pathology including post-TAVR and post-Mitraclip patients
• No float requirements to other departments

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year experience required
• BLS certification required
• RDCS or RCS certification required
• License required if applicable
• Experience with complicated cardiac pathology and advanced assessments required
• Strong scanning skills and in-depth knowledge of heart anatomy and pathology required
• Experience with contrast, bubble studies, strain imaging, and advanced pathology required
• 3D imaging experience preferred
• IV insertion skills not required but training may be provided

• Work alongside a highly experienced cardiac sonography team with high standards for quality and efficiency
• Department educator occasionally takes patient assignments and performs procedures
• Orientation typically takes only a few days working alongside a preceptor
• No specific scrub color required, solid colors preferred, scrubs not provided
• Facility is a Drug-Free Campus requiring a negative drug screen across all panels
• Local candidates accepted
• No radius rule, though clinicians within 50 miles are eligible for a local rate
