American Traveler seeks a Sterile Processing Supervisor with management experience and Certified Registered Central Service Technician credential for a full-time evening shift hospital position.

Details

• Full-time, 1.0 FTE evening shift position
• Monday through Friday schedule, 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM
• 13-week assignment
• Oversees all resources and services of the Sterile Processing Department
• May require on-call availability to respond promptly to organizational, patient, or employee needs

Requirements

• Active state license required if applicable
• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) required
• Certified Endoscope Reprocessor (CER) required
• Minimum of 2 years management or supervisory experience required
• Bachelor's degree in science or related field preferred
• Graduate of accredited Surgical Technology program preferred
• Certified Instrument Specialist (CIS) preferred
• 2 years healthcare experience in Surgical Services and/or Sterile Processing preferred
• Experience with MS Office, EMR, and standard office/computer applications
• Ability to work varied shifts including weekends and after-hours
• Must live at least 90 miles from the facility to be considered

Additional Information

• Responsible for planning, directing, organizing, monitoring, and staffing departmental services in compliance with regulatory agencies and hospital policies
• Supervises and coordinates all administrative duties including human resource management, hiring, coaching, training, scheduling, and payroll
• Manages financial operations, purchasing, and regulatory compliance for the department
• Develops and implements policies, procedures, training, and competencies for team members
• Maintains communication and relationships with Surgical Services and other departments/clinics
• Assesses, measures, and improves departmental performance on an ongoing basis
• Demonstrates strong leadership, sound judgment, and professionalism in a busy and stressful environment
• Requires regular and sustained attendance with potential for hours beyond a standard 40-hour workweek
• Physical demands include continuous sitting, fine-finger movements, and vision-intensive tasks, with occasional standing, walking, bending, and reaching
• Rare exposure to bloodborne pathogens, radiation, and chemicals typical of a healthcare setting
