American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab/EP Technologist with 2+ years experience proficient in both cardiovascular and electrophysiology procedures for a teaching hospital.

Details

• Acute care teaching hospital with Level 3 trauma designation
• Rotate through diagnostic and interventional cardiac cath lab and EP lab settings
• 4x10 hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
• Weekend on-call rotation of 3-4 times per 13-week contract
• Weekday on-call rotation of 1-2 nights per week
• No floating within scope or to sister facilities required per facility policy, though candidates may float within hospital or to a nearby affiliate hospital
• Uses Epic (Excellian) EMR
• Uses fluoroscopy, Philips, Siemens, and ultrasound equipment

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years experience required in both EP and CV procedures
• Current BLS required; ACLS, ARRT-R, CCI RCES, and CCI RCIS preferred
• License required if applicable; pending state license accepted
• Proficiency in scrubbing, monitoring, and circulating for both CV and EP procedures
• Experience with coronary angiograms, complex interventions, CTO, Shockwave, Rotablator, and CSI required
• Experience with hemodynamic monitoring, right heart catheterization, Impella, IABP, and ECMO required
• Experience with pacemaker implants, ablations, and complex ablations required
• Familiarity with Affera, Carto, and EnSite mapping systems
• Epic/Excellian charting experience required
• 1 supervisor reference required for consideration
• Date of birth and SSN required for consideration

Additional Information

• Perform coronary angiograms, complex interventions, right heart catheterizations, Impella and IABP placement, pacemaker implants, and ablations
• Responsibilities include EKG lead placement, access site prep, equipment setup, sterile field maintenance, and recognition of life-threatening arrhythmias
• Scrubs provided by the unit
• First-time travelers accepted
• RTO ideally no more than 5 days
• Returning staff must have a 3-month gap from last shift worked as perm staff or per diem before returning as a traveler
• Local candidates not accepted; a 100-mile radius restriction applies to this position
