American Traveler is hiring an MRI Technologist with 3-5 years of MRI experience and GE and Siemens scanner proficiency for a 13-week contract at a Level II Trauma Center.

Details

• MRI department operating 5 of 6 available scanners
• Weekly census of 250-300 patients across outpatient, inpatient, and ED settings
• Patient types include implantable devices, neuro, oncology, musculoskeletal, ventilated, sedated, and whole body cases; cardiac experience preferred
• Patient ratio of 1:1
• 12-hour day shifts scheduled Saturday, Sunday, and Monday from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• 36 standard hours per week
• Weekend rotation maximum every 3rd weekend
• No floating required outside of MRI unit
• Uses GE Discovery 750W, Siemens Aera, and Siemens Magnetom Skyra scanners
• Uses EPIC and McKesson PACS systems

Requirements

• BLS and ARRT-MR or ARMRIT certification required
• License required if applicable
• 3-5 years of MRI experience required
• Minimum 12 months of core MRI experience with most recent experience within the last year
• GE and Siemens scanner experience required
• EPIC experience required
• Experience with implantable devices, neuro, oncology, musculoskeletal, ventilated, sedated, and whole body patient types required
• Candidate middle name or initial, DOB, and last 4 of SSN required for consideration
• Minimum 1 professional reference dated within the last year from a Supervisor, Manager, Director, or Charge RN

• Facility is a Level II Trauma Center, Level III NICU, Primary Stroke Center, and Magnet-designated hospital with 933 beds
• Support on the unit includes a Lead Tech/Coordinator and Imaging Assistants; travelers are never alone
• 3 days of orientation provided
• Covid vaccine required
• Scrubs may be any professional color

• No radius rules; local candidates accepted at the same rate
• Former employees of the health system or its subsidiaries must be separated at least 12 months before being eligible for travel assignments
• Breast and cardiac MRI experience is a plus
• Time off requests subject to nurse manager approval
