American Traveler is hiring a Radiology Technologist - X-Ray for a short-term acute care teaching hospital, requiring at least 1 year of experience and ARRT-R certification.

Details

• Short term acute care teaching hospital setting with 536 staff beds
• Day shift schedule, Sat-Wed, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM (5x8 hours)
• Weekend coverage required Sat & Sun 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM
• On-call required, approximately 3 shifts per month
• Block schedule required
• No floating between units required at contracted facility, though floating between sister facilities nearby may be expected
• Uses Epic charting system
• Performs a wide range of X-ray studies including abdomen, chest, upper/lower extremity, spine, fluoroscopy, and trauma imaging
• Utilizes GE, Philips, O-ARM, PACS, and Carestream equipment
• Works across adult acute care, outpatient, ED, ICU, NICU, OR, and pediatric settings

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of experience required, preferably in a large hospital setting similar to the contracted facility
• ARRT-R certification and BLS required
• Fluoroscopy permit preferred
• Epic charting experience preferred
• Teaching hospital and community hospital experience preferred
• Experience with contrast media preparation and administration, radiation safety, and infection prevention practices
• Compact state license must be in hand at time of consideration
• License required if applicable
• Must be able to commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)

Additional Information

• Perform diagnostic imaging including abdomen/GI, upper and lower extremity, spine, chest, and head studies
• Assist with fluoroscopy studies such as barium swallow, upper GI series, and contrast enemas
• Support mobile and surgical imaging including C-arm and portable procedures
• Follow infection prevention protocols and isolation precautions/PPE requirements
• Scrubs of any color permitted, with facility-provided scrubs for OR/Cath Lab areas
• No parking fee at this facility
• First-time travelers considered, with preference for candidates with large hospital experience
• Former staff may return after 3 months, provided they reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility
• Local candidates accepted at a lower bill rate within a 50-mile radius
• RTO requests must be submitted upfront during consideration, as post-offer requests may not be accommodated
• 2 supervisory references required, covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years
