Description

American Traveler is seeking a CVOR Surgical Technologist for a long-term hospital assignment requiring at least 18 months of recent CVOR experience with strong cardiac, vascular, and endovascular skills.

Details

• Hospital-based CVOR (Cardiovascular Operating Room) unit
• 10-hour AM shifts, averaging 70+ hours per four-week period, with variable weekly hours
• Schedule includes weekday shifts (5a-11a and 11p-7a) and weekend/holiday shifts (7a-7p or 7p-7a)
• Requires one Friday, one Saturday, and one Sunday shift (non-consecutive)
• Holiday rotation required, including weekends surrounding holidays
• May float to General OR as needed
• No on-call requirement

Requirements

• Minimum 18 months of full-time CVOR experience within the last 3 years at a similar acuity setting
• Must have proficiency ratings of 3 or 4 in cardiac and vascular procedures
• Strong endovascular experience required
• License required if applicable
• Full SSN and date of birth required for consideration

Additional Information

• Support cardiac, vascular, and endovascular surgical procedures
• Assist with cannulation and aorta cases as part of surgical team responsibilities
• Work alongside a dedicated CVOR surgical team in a high-acuity environment
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates not accepted (exceptions made only in limited cases)
• Former Emory or Houston Perm staff must be separated for at least 1 year before returning to the health system, or 18 months if returning to the same facility
• Time off requests are limited to a maximum of 5 days if not near a holiday, or 3 days if on/around a holiday
• Only one holiday time-off request is permitted per assignment
