American Traveler is hiring a Nuclear Medicine Technologist for an acute care hospital setting, requiring 1+ years of experience and ARRT (N) or NMTCB certification with CA license.

• Acute care hospital with 488 staffed beds
• Nuclear Medicine department with PET/CT capabilities
• 4x10 hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
• Must float between Mission Viejo and Mission Laguna Beach locations
• On-call not required but may be requested
• Epic charting system used
• Free parking available

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of experience required
• BLS certification required
• ARRT (N) or NMTCB certification required
• CA license required if applicable
• CT Advanced Cert preferred
• PET experience highly preferred, especially 6 months in PET
• Epic experience preferred
• Community and teaching hospital experience preferred
• Trauma Level II experience preferred
• First-time travelers accepted, but must have 2 years experience and preferably PET experience if no prior travel experience
• Compact license must be in hand at time of submission

Additional Information

• Perform nuclear medicine procedures including bone scans, cardiac studies, renal studies, thyroid studies, and PET scans
• Skilled in venous blood draws, IV starts, and handling/storage of radioactive materials
• Experience with GE, Philips, or Siemens equipment preferred; please note if candidate lacks Siemens experience
• Pediatric and portable/bedside procedure experience preferred
• Must be open to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• RTO must be submitted at time of application
• Local candidates accepted at a lower bill rate within a 50-mile radius
• Former Providence facility employees may return as travelers after 3 months, provided they are not within 50 miles of the facility
• Scrubs provided for OR staff; RN scrub color is royal blue
