American Traveler is hiring an X-ray Technologist for a Level 1 trauma center, requiring ARRT certification and prior trauma experience in a high-acuity setting.

Details

• Level 1 trauma center X-ray department
• Covers ED, inpatient, and portable imaging, with OR coverage as needed
• Involvement with pediatric and neonatal patients required as candidate learns these populations
• Assigned to a specific department daily but must float as needed
• Uses EPIC and Sectra EMR systems
• Equipment includes GE, Philips, and CareStream
• 8-hour evening shifts, Monday through Friday, 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM
• Expected to work 4 weekend shifts per month

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year experience at a Level 1 trauma center, or 2-3 years at a large-bed Level 2 trauma facility
• Must have proven experience in high-pressure, high-volume, large-scale trauma environments
• BLS and ARRT certification required
• Must be a graduate of a JRCERT/ARRT approved program
• License required if applicable
• Must be willing to learn pediatric and neonatal imaging
• Comfortable operating radiologic and fluoroscopic equipment and evaluating image quality

Additional Information

• Responsible for operating radiologic and fluoroscopic equipment and evaluating images for technical quality
• Will work with radiology students and perform competency check-offs
• Mask fit testing required
• Accepts local candidates at the same rate as travel rate
• Block scheduling is generally not approved
