American Traveler is hiring an MRI Technologist with ARRT certification and 2+ years of experience to perform MRI scanning in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Details

• MRI department utilizing GE and Siemens 1.5T and 3T scanners
• 12-hour rotating shifts with 6:30 AM start times, exact days to be determined
• 36 hours per week over a 26-week assignment
• Epic EMR experience preferred
• Fast-paced environment requiring the ability to work independently

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of related MRI Technologist experience required
• ARRT certification required
• BLS-AHA certification required
• MA license required if applicable
• Experience with GE and Siemens 1.5T and 3T scanners preferred
• Epic EMR experience preferred

Additional Information

• Prepare and position patients for MRI scans of various body parts, including equipment setup and screening for ferrous metal implants
• Select and record appropriate pulse sequences, evaluate scan quality, and manipulate images for physician review
• Send images to PACS and verify exam completeness in a timely manner
• Respond to patient physical and psychological needs, explain procedures clearly, and monitor patient condition
• Start IV lines for contrast-enhanced exams and monitor for contrast reactions
• Maintain accurate records and complete required documentation for billing and regulatory purposes
• Participate in teaching and clinical evaluation of MRI students and technologists
• Engage in ongoing continuing education activities
• Pass/fail testing on Tele/ECG and Medication may be required depending on campus
• COVID vaccine plus booster and flu vaccine required, with medical exemptions allowed
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be considered, as local candidates are not accepted for this role
• Previous BILH employees must have a 6-month break before returning to any BILH facility
