American Traveler is hiring a PET/CT and Nuclear Medicine Technologist for an outpatient setting with no call requirements and openness to first-time travelers.

Details

• Outpatient care setting performing PET/CT and general nuclear medicine imaging
• Approximately 33 PET/CT scans per day using 2 Siemens PET/CT scanners
• Case types include whole-body FDG, brain, cardiac, and neuroendocrine imaging, with a predominantly oncology caseload
• Monday-Friday schedule, 8-hour day shifts (8:00-4:30 or 8:30-5:00)
• Optional 10-hour shifts during holiday weeks
• One evening shift and one Saturday shift per month required
• No on-call requirements

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of experience in PET/CT and general nuclear medicine required
• ARRT(N) or ARRT(R) or NMTCB certification required (does not need all three)
• BLS certification required
• State license required if applicable
• Inpatient and outpatient experience required
• Experience with IV starts and PACS required
• Experience with myocardial imaging including adenosine infusion, exercise/rest studies, and pharmacological stress testing preferred
• Brain scan and cerebral blood flow imaging experience preferred
• Teaching hospital experience preferred
• EKG experience preferred
• Education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program

• Perform PET/CT and general nuclear medicine imaging procedures including myocardial, brain, and whole-body scans
• Start and maintain IVs as part of daily responsibilities

• Requested time off must be submitted with the application and built into the contract, limited to 7 days or less

• Current employees of the health system are ineligible for this traveler position
• Two professional references required, with at least one from a manager, director, or supervisor; charge RN acceptable for the second reference; coworker references not accepted
• Ohio fingerprinting process must be completed promptly after contract signing due to strict compliance timelines
