American Traveler is hiring a Pediatric Cardiovascular Sonographer requiring RDCS, RVT, and PE certifications along with at least 2 years of hospital experience.

Details

• Cardiology unit performing echo and vascular ultrasound studies on adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients
• Day shift, 3x12s with variable days as needed, mostly Monday, Thursday, Friday
• Shift hours from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• Rotational call averaging 2 shifts per week plus rotational weekend call
• Performs M-Mode, 2-D, and Doppler echo procedures with all necessary calculations and analysis
• Performs peripheral vascular procedures including arterial and venous Doppler, segmental pressures, ankle-arm index, and carotid ultrasound
• Performs tilt table exams, treadmills, 24-hour holters, and pharmacological studies

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years hospital experience as a cardiac ultrasound sonographer required
• RDCS (Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Ultrasonographer) or CCI-RCS certification required
• RVT (Registered Vascular Technologist) or CCI-RVS certification required
• ARDMS-PE or CCI-RCCS (Pediatric Echocardiography) certification required
• Fetal Echocardiography (FE) certification preferred
• BLS certification required (AHA or ARC)
• Adult and pediatric echo and vascular ultrasound skill required
• License required if applicable

• Assists with cardiovascular and non-invasive studies and treatments across all patient age groups
• Demonstrates ability to interpret patient information based on age-specific needs, such as pediatric echo or geriatric Doppler exams
• Anticipates physician and patient needs, providing awareness of potential patient problems
• Precepts new staff members and mentors other team members as needed
• Stays current with advances in cardiovascular techniques and equipment
