American Traveler is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist for a CVOR position requiring at least 2 years of recent experience and current AHA BLS certification.

Details

• Hospital-based CVOR unit
• Scrub open heart, vascular, and wired vascular cases
• Day shift schedule, 4x10 hours from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
• On-call requirements include 1-2 weekday call shifts per week from end of shift until 0700 the next morning
• 1 weekend call every 6 weeks covering 24 hours Saturday and 24 hours Sunday
• 1 working shift every 6 weeks on Saturday or Sunday, typically coordinated with weekend call
• May be rotated onto the holiday call schedule as needed

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of recent CVOR experience required, CVOR-specific experience preferred
• Current AHA BLS certification required
• 1 year of combined permanent experience in the specialty required for Ohio locations
• License required if applicable
• Active certifications required at time of consideration; pending certifications not accepted
• One professional reference from a manager, ANM, supervisor, or director in the applicable specialty required; co-worker references not accepted
• COVID-19 vaccine required with medical/religious exemptions only
• Flu vaccine required with medical/religious exemptions only
• Negative 10-panel drug screen including nicotine (cotinine) required within 12 months of start for non-RN/CST travelers, updated annually

Additional Information

• Scrub and assist in open heart and vascular surgical procedures, including wired vascular cases
• PBDS assessment is waived; ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments completed during orientation with up to 2 attempts to pass
• Nurses and CSTs are currently exempt from nicotine-free facility requirements
• Background check hits are reviewed by the facility but open cases will not be accepted
• Facility does not accept any hits on professional license
• Travelers are expected to work every other holiday
• Permanent and per diem candidates cannot return to Cleveland Clinic hospitals for 1 year from their previous end date
• Assignments may be extended up to 18 consecutive months, after which a 6-month break is required unless deferred by facility approval
• Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate
• First-time travelers not specified as excluded from consideration
