Description

American Traveler seeks a CVOR Surgical Technologist for a hospital operating room, requiring at least 18 months of recent CVOR experience with strong endovascular skills.

Details

• Hospital-based Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) unit
• 4x10-hour AM shifts totaling 40 hours per week, with some variation averaging 70+ hours per four-week period
• Requires one weekend shift (Friday, Saturday, or Sunday) per rotation, not necessarily consecutive
• Weekday shifts run 5a-11a and 11p-7a; weekend and holiday shifts run 7a-7p or 7p-7a
• Holiday rotation required, including weekends surrounding holidays
• May float to the General OR as needed
• No on-call requirements

Requirements

• Minimum 18 months of full-time CVOR experience within the last 3 years in a setting of similar acuity
• Strong endovascular experience required
• Must have Level 3 and 4 proficiency in cardiac and vascular procedures
• Active license required if applicable

Additional Information

• Assist with cannulation procedures, aorta cases, and endovascular wire-guided procedures
• Experience with both adult and congenital cardiac cases is relevant to daily responsibilities
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be considered; local candidates are not accepted
• Former Emory or Houston perm staff must be separated for at least 1 year before returning to the health system, or 18 months if returning to the same facility
• RTO requests are limited to a maximum of 5 days if not near a holiday, or 3 days if falling on or near a holiday, with only 1 holiday request allowed per assignment
