American Traveler is hiring a Registered Polysomnographic Technologist for a 13-week night shift assignment requiring RPSGT certification and 2+ years of sleep disorders experience.

Details

• Acute care setting in a Level 2 trauma facility
• Sleep Tech unit performing sleep studies
• 4 sleep beds with a 1:2 technologist-to-patient ratio
• Utilizes Natus Xltek sleep testing equipment and Resmed PAP machines
• Uses EPIC (One Chart) EMR
• 12-hour night shifts, 3 nights per week
• 36 guaranteed hours per week
• Weekend rotation in line with staff schedule

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in the Sleep Disorders field preferred
• BLS certification required
• Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) certification via BRPT required
• ND Respiratory Care License required
• License required if applicable

Additional Information

• Performs sleep studies and administers treatments for patients with sleep disorders including CPAP, O2, and BiLevel therapy
• One week of orientation working alongside day sleep technologists to learn EPIC One Chart, sleep and EEG software, workflows, hospital layout, and policies and procedures
• Additional week of night orientation working with another sleep technologist managing 2 patients before working independently
• Gray scrubs required
• All clinicians must badge in and out at the facility
• Candidates who previously worked for this health system must have an end date at least 6 months prior to submission
• Does not accept local candidates with a permanent address within 80 miles of the facility
