American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab / EP Technologist to provide on-call imaging and scrub coverage for a hybrid vascular room, requiring 2+ years of experience and ARRT or RCIS certification.

Details

• On-call coverage for a hybrid vascular room supporting three vascular surgeons
• 7 on/7 off schedule with 40 hours/week pay for coverage
• Call begins at 1600 and ends at 0730 Monday through Friday, with 24-hour call on Saturday and Sunday
• Average of two call-in or late cases per week
• Procedures include arterial, visceral, and venous intervention, AAA stent placement, and peripheral intervention with possible conversion to open surgery
• Responsibilities include tray and injector setup, table operation, X-ray and imaging setup including DSA, and radiation safety
• Scrub support for percutaneous procedures with surgical tech backup available for open conversions

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience required
• ARRT or RCIS certification required depending on role (Cath Lab, IR, or special procedures tech background accepted)
• ACLS and BLS certification required
• License required if applicable
• Perm license required in-hand at time of submission; temporary licenses not accepted
• Prior travel experience required
• Ability to scrub for open cases strongly preferred
• Experience assisting with wires, catheters, balloons, stents, and closure devices

• Scrub and assist vascular surgeons during interventional procedures
• Set up and operate imaging and radiation safety equipment for hybrid vascular cases
• Holiday rotation and every-other-weekend coverage required
• RTO limited during holiday periods
• Facility-provided training modules average 4 hours and are completed prior to start
