Description

American Traveler is seeking a Certified Surgical First Assist for a 13-week acute care OR assignment requiring CSFA certification and prior surgical first assist experience.

Details

• Acute care hospital OR unit with 4 operating rooms at a Level 3 trauma center
• Handles General, Ortho, Neuro, OB-GYN, and ENT surgical cases
• Typical patient ratio is 1:1
• Uses Allscripts EMR
• Monday through Friday day shift schedule from 0630 to 1700
• Weekend requirements and call vary and will be discussed during interview
• No floating required

Requirements

• Minimum of 1-2 years of experience as a Surgical First Assist required
• BLS certification from AHA required
• Certified Surgical First Assist (CSFA) credential via NBSTSA required
• License required if applicable
• Acute care hospital experience preferred

• Assist surgeons during procedures across General, Ortho, Neuro, OB-GYN, and ENT specialties
• Facility provides blue scrubs
• 24/7 in-house pharmacy available on site
• Orientation occurs every Monday with 8 hours of orientation provided
• Cancellation policy allows for 3 shifts per 13-week assignment
