American Traveler seeks a Surgical Technologist with 3+ years of experience and proficiency in robotics, neurosurgery, thoracic, and ENT procedures for a cancer hospital OR position.

• Cancer hospital OR/Surgical Services department
• Day/evening rotating schedule combining 8, 10, and 12-hour shifts to total 40 hours per week
• On-call and weekend coverage required as needed
• Involves scrubbing and circulating duties across a variety of surgical services
• Services include Surgical Oncology, Thoracic, Colorectal, Urology, GYN Oncology, Head & Neck/ENT, Neuro, Ortho, Plastics/Reconstructive, and Robotics
• Utilizes Epic EMR for documentation

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience required (hard requirement)
• BLS certification required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Circulating and scrubbing experience required
• Proficiency required in robotic surgery, neurosurgery, thoracic surgery, and ENT procedures
• Experience across multiple services required, including ENT/Plastics (Flaps/Microvascular), Endoscopic procedures (Bronch/EGD/EBUS/LS), Neuro (Craniotomy/EEA/Skull base), Thoracic, and Robotics
• Teaching hospital, community hospital, and Trauma Level I/II experience preferred
• Education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program
• Valid license required at time of submission, if applicable
• Two professional references required, with at least one from a manager, director, or supervisor; a Charge RN is acceptable as the second reference; coworker references are not accepted

Additional Information

• Provide high-quality surgical support in a day/evening rotating schedule
• Assist with circulating and scrubbing duties as needed across multiple surgical specialties
• Maintain accurate patient records using Epic
• Collaborate effectively with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Requires prompt completion of Ohio fingerprinting process immediately upon signing contract
• Candidates outside Ohio but within driving distance must travel to an Ohio fingerprinting location as soon as possible after booking
• Candidates at extreme distances will receive a mailed fingerprinting packet to complete urgently upon receipt
• Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate
• RTO must be submitted with application and built into the contract, limited to 7 days or less
• Former employees eligible for a travel assignment after being away from the facility for 6 months or more
• Current employees of this health system are ineligible for travel assignments at any of its Ohio locations
• First-time travelers are not preferred for this role
