American Traveler is hiring a Nuclear Medicine Technologist to perform radiopharmaceutical administration and imaging with ARRT or NMTCB registration and BLS certification required.

• Radiology/Nuclear Medicine department setting
• 24 hours per week, 8-hour shifts, 3 days per week
• Flexible scheduling to be discussed during interview
• Day shift assignment
• No weekends, holidays, or on-call requirements
• Uses RIS, CIS, SMS, PACS, and transport tracking system for documentation and workflow
• GE NM 830 equipment experience preferred
• CT cross-training highly preferred

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology program
• Registered as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist through ARRT or NMTCB
• Must maintain registry status and annual continuing education requirements
• Current BLS certification required
• License required if applicable
• No prior experience required

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include patient identification, informed consent, and administration of radiopharmaceuticals via venous access
• Performs patient assessment, confirms pregnancy status for females of childbearing age, and arranges pregnancy testing as ordered
• Handles radiopharmaceutical receipt, documentation, and disposal per Radiation Safety Office and NRC guidelines
• Reviews radiopharmaceutical selection, dosage, and quality control to ensure correct administration
• Sets up and performs imaging acquisitions according to protocol while maintaining patient comfort and safety
• Analyzes images, processes films, and submits for physician approval
• May perform advanced duties such as PET imaging or serve in a lead technologist role
• Completes RIS orders with accurate charge entry
