American Traveler seeks a Surgical Technologist/Certified First Assistant with 2+ years of OR experience for a rural hospital operating room position.

Details

• Work in a rural 3-room hospital operating room
• Surgical caseload includes ortho, spine, OB/Gyn, vascular, general, GI endoscopy, podiatry, and ENT procedures
• Cases include total joints, amputations, 2-3 spine cases per month, C-sections, and vascular surgeries such as carotids
• Uses Epic for charting
• Day shift schedule with 8-hour shifts, 40 hours per week
• On-call required one week per month with weekend coverage during the call week

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of OR experience required
• BLS certification required
• CSTFA certification required in hand
• License required if applicable
• Scrub tech and first assist experience required

Additional Information

• Function as both a Scrub Technician and Surgical First Assistant across a variety of surgical specialties
• Two doses of the COVID-19 vaccine or an approved declination are required
• Local candidates accepted at the same rate as traveler rate with no radius rule
• Permanent employees must be separated from the facility for 90 days before returning as a traveler
