American Traveler seeks a Certified Surgical Technologist with general surgery, ortho, and gyn experience for an operating room position.

Details

• Hospital operating room setting
• General surgery, orthopedic, and gynecological case types
• Day shift hours from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
• Call required one weekday per week from 5 PM to 7 AM
• Call required one weekend day per month from 7 AM to 7 AM
• Additional call may be required
• Uses Epic for charting

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Successful completion of an accredited surgical technology program required
• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required through NBSTSA or NCCT
• Current BLS certification from AHA required
• License required if applicable
• Experience with general surgery, orthopedic, and gynecological procedures preferred

Additional Information

• Plan, prepare, and maintain surgical instrumentation and the surgical field peri-operatively
• Perform post-operative activities related to room and instrument decontamination
• Reports to the Nurse Manager of the Operating Room
• Operates within established organizational and departmental policies and procedures
• Flu vaccine required with no religious or medical exemptions allowed
• Local candidates accepted with permanent residence within 60 miles of Boston, MA at a reduced rate
