American Traveler is hiring an EEG Technologist for an acute care setting requiring at least 1 year of experience and registered EMG credentials.

Details

• Acute care setting within the EMG Tech / EEG unit
• 10-hour day shifts, 40 hours per week
• Uses EPIC EMR
• 13-week assignment

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of experience required
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Current BLS (AHA) certification required
• Registered Nerve Conduction Study Technologist (R.NCS.T) credential via AAET required
• Registration through American Board of Electrodiagnostic Medicine (ABEM) or American Association of Electrodiagnostic Technologists (AAET) required
• License required if applicable
• Must be able to perform nerve conduction studies (NCS) and autonomic studies on the peripheral and autonomic nervous system
• Strong background knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and pathology of the brain, spinal cord, cranial nerves, peripheral nerves, neuromuscular junction, muscles, and autonomic nerves
• Copy of driver's license required for consideration

Additional Information

• Conduct EMG and nerve conduction studies in both outpatient and inpatient settings while working closely with physicians
• Artificial nails are prohibited in all patient care departments; refusal to remove artificial nails will result in contract termination
• Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility
• First-time travelers may be considered
