American Traveler is hiring a Neurodiagnostic Technologist II for a Clinical Neurophysiology unit, requiring registry eligibility in EEG, EP, IOM, NCV, or Polysomnography.

Details

• , performing diagnostic patient testing in hospital rooms, operating rooms, and clinics
• Performs EEG, EMG, NCV, sensory evoked potentials, and polysomnographic testing, including oxygen therapy and CPAP treatments
• Variable shift schedule, rotating days and nights, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM or 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• 3 shifts per week at 12 hours per shift, totaling 36 hours weekly
• Weekend shifts may be required if necessary
• Must be able to work UNC holidays if needed
• No on-call requirements

Requirements

• Graduation from an acceptable program of Neurophysiology required; if not, High School Diploma plus 2+ years of experience performing Sleep or Neurodiagnostic procedures required
• Must be EEG registered
• Registry eligible in at least one of the following: EEG (R. EEG T., CLTM), EP (R. EP T.), Intra-Operative Monitoring (CNIM), NCV, Polysomnography (RPSGT), or Registered Sleep Technologist (RST)
• Current BLS certification (AHA or ARC) required
• License required if applicable
• Experience with equipment calibration and maintenance
• Skilled in patient history taking, test scoring, and patient instruction

Additional Information

• May provide instruction and guidance to other technologists in the Neurodiagnostic and/or Sleep Disorders Lab
• Responsible for room and equipment set-up and placement across various clinical settings
• Reads and scores neurodiagnostic and/or polysomnographic tests
• Instructs patients and families on test preparation, pre-test interviews, and follow-up appointments
