American Traveler seeks a Surgical Technologist with 2+ years of experience and strong Neuro, Ortho, and General surgery skills for a Level 1 trauma acute care hospital's specialty OR unit.

Details

• Acute care hospital setting within a Level 1 trauma OR unit featuring 25 OR suites
• Unit averages 75 to 100 cases per day
• Primary focus on Neuro cases including craniotomies and spine, with additional coverage in Orthopedics, ENT, Plastics, General, and some Trauma cases
• Uses Zimmer, Depuy, Biomet, and Stryker total replacement systems
• EPIC EMR used for charting
• Evening shift schedule, Monday through Friday, 11:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• No weekends or call required, though staying late as an extension of the shift may be needed
• Potential to float to other campus locations including Broadway and SU

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of Surgical Technologist experience required
• BLS certification from the AHA required
• Experience working in a large acute care hospital with more than 15 OR suites required
• Level 1 trauma experience required
• Strong Neuro experience focusing on craniotomies and spine required
• Strong Ortho experience required for case versatility
• Experience with robotics required
• Experience with at least one of the following total replacement systems required: Zimmer, Depuy, Biomet, or Stryker
• Must be willing to work in General surgery cases as needed
• Must initiate the North Dakota Board of Nursing UAP Registry application process within 3 business days of accepting an offer and be listed on the registry at least one week prior to start
• License required if applicable

Additional Information

• Perform surgical and operating room duties to assist surgeons and healthcare team members in delivering effective surgical care
• Primary focus on Neuro cases while also assisting with Orthopedics, ENT, Plastics, General, and Trauma cases as needed
• Facility-provided Ceil Blue scrub color
• All clinicians must badge in and out at the facility
• Candidates must not have a permanent address within 60 miles of the facility to be eligible for this position
• Candidates living between 60 and 80 miles from the facility are eligible at a reduced local travel rate
• Candidates who previously worked for the health system must have an end date at least 6 months prior to their submission date
